About Diana & Lowell Lindsay
Diana and Lindsay Lowell have been desert naturalists for over 25 years and have written and edited several books including:
Our Historic Desert; Ansa-Borrego A to Z: People, Places, and Things; Marshal South and the Ghost Mountain Chronicles; Fossil Treasures of the Anza-Borrego; Geology of the Anza-Borrego; Edge of Creation;
and
Geothermal Resources of the Imperial Valley
. Diana received her master's degree from San Diego State University; specializing in history and geography of the Southwest. She is on the board and president of the Anza-Borrego Foundation and Institute. Lowell is a former navy helicoptor pilot and wilderness survival instructor. He received his master's degree from West Texas State University in public administration, specializing in Environmental Educations. Hes is past-president of the San Diego Association of Geologists and is secretary-treasurer of the the National Association of Earth Science Editors. The Lindsays own their own regional book publishing and distribution company in San Diego, CA. They both teach natural-history classes and lead field trips for serveral organizations, including the San Diego Natural History Museum and the Anza-Borrego Institute.
